I am posting a lot of what I call "Simplicity-Lit" these day - excerpts from various books I am reading that might be helpful to others. These little motivational spells can be useful. But they can also be ridiculous. Here's an example: "The last four letters of 'enthusiam' stand for 'I Am Sold Myself!'"
And enthusiasm spelled another way is 'euthanasia'. Not really, but it could be.
I guess my point is, external motivation can fire up your internal motivation, but it only works if it's authentic. And that enthusiasm quote feels far from authentic.
Side note: without internal motivation, no amount of external motivation will move you..
